The Worst Person in the World (2021) Review

The Worst Person in the World  directed by Joachim Trier  is a well-made movie about doubt, chaos, and the lack of clarity one often faces in life how our choices can completely alter our course. It beautifully captures the confusion that lies within each human being, especially when it comes to relationships.

This is a raw, unfiltered film where we truly feel the emotions of the lead actress, Renate Reinsve, and that’s exactly what makes it such a unique experience. The movie’s plot isn’t something to simply understand, but rather to feel and learn from. It’s especially relatable for those who struggle with commitment or are uncertain about their future.

Renate’s performance is the absolute highlight, backed by strong direction and thoughtful cinematography. The film never tries too hard to force emotions it lets sound design, natural moments, and the authenticity of the cast do the work.

What’s special is how the film can mean different things to different people. Everyone might take away their own interpretation of its message. Split into a  prologue, 12 chapters, and an epilogue , it flows like slices of life stitched together. For me, it stands as one of the best in its genre.

Rating: 4/5
