Drive to Survive (Season 7 ) Watch Experience

I got into Formula 1 only recently after watching an F1 race on the big screen, and that excitement pushed me to check out Netflix’s Drive to Survive. For those who don’t know, it’s a documentary series that covers every F1 season since 2019, taking us behind the paddock, the teams, and the drama of the sport.

Season 7 covers the 2024 Formula 1 season, and it’s packed with storylines that keep you hooked  Lewis Hamilton’s shocking move to Ferrari, the Red Bull principal Christian Horner scandal, Daniel Ricciardo’s exit, and the rise of Lando Norris with McLaren. What impressed me most was the way Netflix presents it. Even for someone like me who barely knew anything about F1, it never felt boring. It breaks down the science, car-building process, marketing strategies, and shows how F1 is not just a sport but also an expensive global marketing spectacle.

Of course, the races were the real highlight. From the Monaco Grand Prix, where Charles Leclerc made history as the first Monegasque driver to win at home, to the Brazilian Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen clinched victory and the championship while Norris missed out  it was all pure adrenaline. F1 is unlike any other sport; every lap, every second, something is at stake. Also McLaren clinching the constructors's championship from Red Bull was something grand .

Seeing 20 drivers push themselves to the edge to become the best in the world is thrilling, and I have to thank Netflix for bringing such a well-made series to the table.

Rating: 4/5
