Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Anime ) Review

There are many animes in the world that stand out because of their plot, animation, comedy, or action. But very few manage to excel in almost all of these. Demon Slayer is one such anime.

What makes it special is its simplicity. The plot is easy to follow, making it the perfect entry point for anyone who has never watched anime before.

The anime spans across five seasons (or arcs), each unique in its own way. For example The first season focuses on character introduction and world building with a touch of comedy and action. The second season raises the stakes as Tanjiro Kamado, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, heads out on their first real mission that turns deadly. Each arc after that explores different terrains and aspects of training, slowly preparing them for the ultimate battle against the demon king Muzan.

But the true highlight of  Demon Slayer is its animation by Ufotable. Even though I’m not much into anime and haven’t watched too many, I can confidently say this is some of the best animation I’ve ever seen. The eye-boggling colors, the attention to detail, and the sheer fluidity of the fights are enough to pull anyone in. Ufotable’s animation is simply god-level.

Another great aspect is the storytelling, especially the way the anime explores the backstories of the villains. This makes you sympathize with the demons and adds emotional depth to what could have been simple good vs. evil battles. Each demon is unique and powerful, and watching Tanjiro and his friends struggle and overcome them through pure skill, training, and determination makes it feel real and relatable.

My fav character from anime :Zenitsu

The action sequences are on another level. With shifting camera angles, powerful sound design, and stunning visuals, every fight feels epic. My personal favorite is the ending sequence of the Entertainment District Arc it left me in total awe and made me realize the true potential of animation. It’s something live-action could never recreate.

On top of that, the episodes are short (around 20 minutes each), so the pacing never drags. I managed to finish all five seasons in just a week, and it never once felt overwhelming.

In short, Demon Slayer has everything emotion, action, and jaw dropping visuals. For me, it’s a must watch whether you’re new to anime or already a fan but haven’t experienced this anime yet.
